Our community’s gathering place
The Ward’s Island Pavilion was built in 2024–2025 following the devastating March 2024 fire that destroyed the WIA Clubhouse. It is an open-air, timber-frame structure designed for community gatherings large and small — from the Annual General Meeting to summer socials and everything in between. The Pavilion reflects the island’s spirit: built with community input, constructed with volunteer labour, and designed to be a space where everyone feels welcome. It is the community’s primary gathering place while plans for the Clubhouse rebuild are being developed.

Booking requests are for community and member events only. WIA members receive priority. Please contact us if you have any questions before submitting.

- ✅The Pavilion is available for private bookings when not in use for WIA events.
- ✅WIA members receive a 10% discount on booking fees.
- ⚠️The Pavilion is open-air. Events are weather-dependent and no rain guarantee is provided.
- ⚠️The island is car-free. Please advise your guests to arrive by ferry.
A note on the Clubhouse
The WIA Clubhouse — a beloved part of the island for nearly 90 years — was destroyed by fire on March 17, 2024. Plans to rebuild it are currently being developed.
In the meantime, the Pavilion serves as our community’s primary gathering space. We’ll share updates on the Clubhouse rebuild as soon as details are available.
